Born Of New Everlasting Spirit - J Bones.

Q. May we meet you?

       A. My name is Jimmy Adjoto

 Q. Why the name J bones?

       A.    J for Jimmy and Bones – Born Of New Everlasting Spirit was derived
from the passage of Ezekiel 37 (the story of dry bones rising again. I never
knew God would grant me another chance to be back into music after over
a dozen years absent, I feel like Abraham who had a son at old age.
             Q.  Why did you choose to write this song “S.O.S”?

        A. I was just uncomfortable with the average Nigerian mentality where we
are alright with the way things are as long as it doesn’t affect us directly

     Q. Would you call your song a gospel song?

         A. It is a song of prayer for my Nation, What I do is music from my
perspective. I am a born again Christian – Christ will always reflect in
ALL I do one way or the other

   Q.   How do you intend to make sure this message gets to the right people and
doesn’t end up only for entertainment?

       A.  I trust God for direction. I have loads of people who are a blessing and
have been sending it via the social media; we continue to trust that the TV
and Radio will continue with their support too.

    Q.   What are your plans for your music career?

         A.  I will keep writing, recording and touring for as long as God permits me

     Q.  How has it been juggling music, work and your personal life?

          A.  It is quite challenging at the moment as part of the fund from work goes
into music and music is starting to take some time of my family life but I
thank God for a capacity and also a fantastic and supporting beautiful
                    wife.
      Q. What does music mean to you?

         A.   Music is my unseen friend that connects me to God and connects man to
                   Jesus through me.
      Q. What does gospel mean to you?

         A.  Good News! We were doomed for Hell but Jesus died that we might live.

  Q.  Are you going to face your music career now or is it still on a part time
         basis?
         A.  I am just letting God lead me a step at a time.

Toyin Adebola: Passionate, Powerful and Simple.

 Toyin Adebola

HIS love and passion for music made him set  up the — Toyin and Friends, a musical group  , when he came back from the United States  in 2005. Born on January 11, 1969,Toyin Adebola, who is from Ogun State, had his secondary education at Government Secondary School, Gwammaja, and ended up at the Government Technical College, Wudil, Kano. His tertiary education was at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he read technical education. The Chief Executive Officer of Lakeside Energy Limited, who started his musical career as a drummer in 1990, recently organised the Toyin and Friends concert. Themed Worship Unscripted, it featured a lot of gospel artists, including Cohbhams.
Family background: I’m from a polygamous home. I’m the first born of my father. My father worked and retired as a staff of the Ministry of Education, Kano and my mother worked with The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) now called Aviance, also in Kano until she retired about two years ago.

Toyin Adebola talks about what fashion means to him and much more.

Fashion: It has different interpretations depending on who is creating it, but for me, I think fashion is an expression of who you are, well expressed in what you are wearing. I don’t go with what’s in vogue. What is in vogue for me is what I am comfortable with!

Style of dressing: English and simple; a shirt and a nice and comfortable pair of pants, that’s me! But occasionally, I do some native stuff.

Uniqueness of style: Everything about me is basically different. My carriage stands me out. I also hate conforming to what’s in vogue.

Favourite colour: I love brilliant colours, to be precise. I like black and red. I also like white and purple because they are sweet and strong. I love them combined not specific.

Favourite piece of clothing: A nice shirt and trouser. Sometimes a nice denim shirt and khaki pants

Stylish icon(s): Maxwell, he dresses so beautifully. Most times, he’s always on a nice shirt on trousers with jacket. When you see him, one has no choice but to love and respect him.

Role model(s): Rev. Sam Adeyemi, he is my ultimate role model and then musically, it’s Fred Hammond.

Favourite food: Vegetable and fruit Salad.

Favourite designer(s): Base London, because they are not the regular designers. They have very unique designs of Wristwatches and Shoes and I love them because they are not very popular. I also like Diesel.

Most expensive item: My soul!

Most cherished possession: God.

Describe yourself in three words: Passionate, powerful and simple.

Turn on: When everything is just in order

Turn off: Disorderliness and indifference.

Happiest moment(s): When I got a job in Conoil because I waited almost 15 years for that.

Embarrassing moment(s): When my visa to United States was turned down the second time.

Philosophy of life: Life is like one’s best currency. It’s ones most valuable asset, so spend it wisely, do not waste time and be as productive as you can.

If you were given an opportunity to change something in Nigeria, what would it be? Our mindset, it is terrible!

The 16th edition of Worship Unscripted with Toyin&Friends will be holding on the 31st of July, 2011 at the Balmoral, 98 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja. The theme is "Winds of Worship" Time is 4pm prompt. Ministering includes Cobhams, Buchi, Iyke Onka, Simi, Akin Cole, Mulero, V6. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Paul Persol & The Wilderness Wailers out with "His Banner" Album.

Paul Persol is a singer/ songwriter, actor, publisher, and preacher who first ventured into music in the college fellowship choir. His traumatic experience of growing up with a single father first endeared him to the deep, philosophical, and inspiring Reggae music largely commercialized by the group "The Wailers."

Persol went on to have very many stage performance experiences in dance, acting, and singing as a theatre acts student in the university. After graduating, he went into advertising and rose to the position of director and copywriter in Leo Burnett, Lagos, Nigeria office.
The first personal Reggae song he ever wrote hit him on his way back home one afternoon, and since then, he has written over 30 top quality songs by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. He has written many unpublished books, one of which was published by Authorhouse, UK, entitled: "Woman, you Need to Hear This." Persol is still building his group "The Wilderness Wailers."

'His Banner' confidently marks the inspiring debut from Paul Persol & The Wilderness Wailers. For more info, visit:
