The Vision!

Music fuels the mind and thus fuels our creativity. A Creative mind has the ability to make discoveries and create innovations. The greatest minds and thinkers like Albert Einstein, Mozart, and Frank Lloyd Wright all had something in common in that they were constantly exploring their imagination and creativity.
Music is universal, there are no boundaries to understanding music.

No one really knows where Music came from but one thing is certain music predates the existence of Mankind, Meaning that it comes from Our Creator. God Himself. Most people simply know that certain lucky individuals are born with a Talent for music and that's the main factor in how well they perform or write it.

Music has traditionally played an important role in African culture. It is essential in representing the strong African heritage and its importance can be seen in many aspects of our culture like Traditional marriage rites, Naming ceremonies,Religious and other Sacred Tribal events etc

The Nigerian music scene has become vibrant and evolved from what it used to be in the past.  In Nigerian cities, especially in Lagos, whose 21 million inhabitants can hear popular songs in the form of mobile phone ringtones or blaring out of speakers on the private transit buses, known as danfos, that are ubiquitous. Even the numerous lyrics that we hear being blasted via our airwaves, most of which are disjointed and lack proper structure, talk less of passing across valuable information, are usually laden with sexual undertones, luring our youths into various forms of atrocities.

Should Entertainment be devoid of values? Absolutely not!

In July 2016 a book was written by a Nigerian Author, Adebimpe Afolabi, titled Melodies from Heaven. It is a book on the Art, Act and Heart of song writing. The foreword of the book was done by two of her Mentors, Wale Adenuga and Kunle Pinmiloye (Ksticks).
This book teaches song writers to write responsively, by passing across a definite valuable message to the hearers constructively.

Bimpe started her music career at Powerline Bible church as a Choir member and later a Soloist. After which She joined the Fountain of praise choir, headed by Wale Adenuga in the 90's, where She was a worship leader. It was here that She had the rare privilege of Ministrying  with Bob Fits during one of Wale Adenuga's and Fountain of Praise concerts.
She later joined Christ Chapel Abeokuta choir (The Levites) when She gained admission into Ogun state polytechnic abeokuta to study Masscommunication, and eventually became the President of the Campus fellowship.

The ondo state born Ministrel has always had a flair for writing songs but her major break came when the Lord inspired her to write the song “ Hosannah ta lo da bi re” a Yoruba song that means “ Hosanah, who is like unto thee”.
The song came has a result of the challenge She was going through then as a student,  way back in 1995, She needed God to intervene in her academics. So while preparing to go to the Redemption camp, She  knelt down to pray, and that was how the melody for the song came. She quickly recorded it in the little midget She used to have in those days. She later taught her choir, “the Levites” of Christ chapel churches Abeokuta and then Fountain of praise (RCCG).

Bimpe's first ever Album was released in 2011. Titled “Joy in the city” ,it was an audio cd. It comprises of songs that She was inspired to write, amongst which are Hosanah, joy in the city, Child of a king, Wazobia, Ose Baba, Kabiyesi etc. She recently released a single titled "Created to worship".
She has also been privileged to compose several Christmas songs, namely “Christmas in the air”, “Messiah”, “Something about Christmas’ and more recently “Silent Night”.. All these songs have been featured in the much publicized Daystar Christian center carols from 2013- 2016. All to the glory of God.

The Entrepreneur, cum Communicator who is presently studying Business Administration at the Atlantic International University Honolulu, is also a member of The Advertising practitioners council of Nigeria , is the CEO of Melodies From Heaven. A company set up to carry out Musical activities i.e composition and production of music  and organising of concerts.
She conceived this Vision to impact aspiring Song writers, while writing her book. The Song Writer Singer Seminar has been designed by Melodies from heaven concept, to train  song writers and singers alike on the most effective ways of communicating valuable message via music. We aim to teach entertainment with value and structure as well as song delivery.

The vision is to eventually have a state of the art studio, where recordings can be done by the youths at a very affordable rate while also ensuring proper marketing structure and protection for their music. It has been observed that the rights of song writers are not adequately protected in this part of the world.

We are projecting to train thousands of youths and the young-at- heart (in phases) during and after the training. The first phase already kicked off in August with outstanding success.

Adebimpe is the leader of a Band called Ministers of Grace.
She is Married to Oyedeji Afolabi and they are blessed with Three Boys, David, Daniel and Derick.
